This is a quickie, because of something that I have just heard about that is happening locally.
I have not watched TV since 1958 in England when it became clear that it was developing into a system to mould public opinion at the will of some authority or other. That is now blatantly obvious. It is also true that when asked a couple of years ago if I could only have one book with me on a desert island I would choose “The Power of Now” by Eckhart Tolle.
Now friends, acquaintances and people who hardly ever crack a book tell me that they are reading the latest book by Tolle because Oprah recommended it.
Whatever her reason for doing so, and I have no doubt that the bottom line is not the least of them, it has been done, and probably thousands of people who have never ever been exposed to any thing remotely spiritual are reading the words of Tolle.
As far as I am concerned, anything Tolle says comes from what initiates call The Presence, and will have an effect. I also connect this sudden burst into public consciousness of the spiritual rather than the religious, directly to the Mayan and Hopi prophecies of a change in the state of human consciousness coming towards the end of 2011.
The only way to access the consciousness of many people in this country is via the TV screen, and most of what is on it is going to have a blatantly commercial and political bias. But TV is the major medium, like it or not. And remember that one of the reasons that round Earth people used to be burned alive by Christians was because the Bible says that when Jesus comes again, “Every eye shall see him.” That necessitated in those days a flat Earth so that Jesus didn’t have to make two appearances, one on each side of the sphere. Now however, we have TV and every eye could see him. No apologies yet from the incendiaries of course.
Spirituality seems to be a greater and greater concern of people even as religion in many areas is going down the tubes. And for the absolute novice seeker the most important thing is phenomena, not insights. And the phenomena have been more and more apparent over the last few decades. The big impact was the possibility of UFO’s actually being real objects from another plane of existence.
The obvious lies of many governments have made the matter more important to people who have grown used to the idea that a great many important matters are being kept secret from them.
The way that the spiritual and the unexplained are filtering through even to the beer can, popcorn and Fox News people is an indication that something is about to happen. Take your pick. The example of what happened in Brussels twenty years ago began the growth of such energies as far as I am concerned. Brussels is the site of one of the most well documented and widely experienced UFO incidents. And the Belgian government is not as dedicated to secrecy as others.
The incidents concerned one of the very large UFO’s having a triangular shape with three lights. Between 1983 and 1987 hundreds of people saw them in the Hudson valley area. But sightings are so common in the USA, considered a hysterical people by many Europeans, that not many people bothered about them. The underwear of celebrities is much more newsworthy here. However, when they began appearing over Belgium in 1989 and 1990 the rest of the world began to take notice.
The first set of sightings was in November 1989, when many gendarmes saw the dark triangular craft with three lights shining downwards. They all noted that it was noiseless except for a soft humming sound. The first two gendarmes who saw it contacted the Royal Belgian Air Force base at Bierset which had detected the radar blip already. Stations at Glons and Butgenbach also found unusual signals on their radar screens. These were not hysterical people. They were professional radar operators. Sightings of this and another Flying Triangle were made by military observers.
In the first months of 1990 the Belgian Air Force was scrambled several times but the things were too fast for NATO’s fastest F-16 fighters. These took off regularly to monitor Soviet MiGs that looked like they might be entering Belgian air space. But they didn’t get to where the radar blips were before the craft disappeared.
But on March 30th 1990 the fighters sent up did find something. The Air Force had determined that the F-16’s would be scrambled only if there was a visual sighting matched by a radar contact or a police report. On that night these things all occurred about 14 miles south-east of Brussels.
A gendarmerie was phoned by a member of the public who claimed to have seen a huge triangular UFO hovering in the night sky. The gendarme ran out of the office and then back to the phone to confirm the report. The police called the radar station at Glons near Tongeren in N.E.Belgium and they confirmed a sighting of an unidentified craft at ten thousand feet. The radar scans were compared with previous examples and found to be identical. While this was going on many people had phoned in descriptions of the huge triangular craft with lights on the underside.
Two F-16’s were scrambled from Bevekom. One was flown by a captain and one by a flight lieutenant, both experienced pilots. Guided by the radar they soon found their target and locked their weapons system radar onto it from seven miles away. From that range any missile they fired would hit the target, if it was conventional.
This is from the recorded dialogue ‘ I’ve got a lock on . Repeat. I’ve got a lock on. Approaching target now. Wait. Target beginning to move. Trying to follow. I’ve lost it. Repeat. I’ve lost it. Target has moved, target has moved. Attempting to lock on again. I have it. Closing in…closing…closing…It’s gone. The target has gone.’
At that point the radar signal changed from oval to diamond shape on their radar screens and the craft increased its speed instantly to 625 mph. Over the next few minutes the two pilots, among the most highly trained in NATO managed to lock on the target six times. Three times they locked on simultaneously. Each time the craft eluded them by moving at an aerodynamically erratic course at impossible speeds.
According to one pilot the craft was moving around on the radar screen like a dancing bee. Two F-16’s with locked on missiles could have blown any aircraft known to the military out of the sky, but they didn’t get the chance to fire a single missile.
The evasive action indicated that it was under an intelligent control but the accelerations that it effected would have killed any human. The photographic record of the on-board radar showed that it moved from 2000 feet to 750 feet in two seconds…1125 mph. And it also accelerated from 175 mph to the 1125 mph in a couple of seconds.
Professor Brenig of the University of Brussels calculated this to produce an acceleration of 46G…forty six times the force of Earth gravity. The most that humans can take is around 8G. The craft ended this acceleration with an abrupt stop, which would have spread any human across the control panel. Then it took off again as if nothing had happened. All this time there were no sonic booms. The radar showed that the two F-16’s pursued this craft on its erratic way without success for about an hour. They realized that if it had hostile intentions there wasn’t anything they could do about it. It came down to about 600 feet and then disappeared off the radar over a suburb of Brussels.
Switchboards all over the area lit up as over three thousand witnesses called in to report it. Over 2600 statements were made to the police. The flight had been captured on film and video. In England about 200 reports of UFO’s are made to the police every year. This was a special incident.
I had friends who were radar operators in the services in England and they told me of their standing orders NOT to talk about the blips they saw that were obviously some kind of craft doing impossible maneuvers at impossible speeds.
This isn’t fiction, though the CIA here used to run Flying Saucer magazines filled with obvious nonsense so that nobody would take true reports seriously. And it wasn’t a Stealth bomber because it appeared on ground and air radar, and Stealth bombers are invisible to radar. The night of March 30, 1990 was totally cloudless, so the explanation of shadows on clouds didn’t work either. The lights were clearly distinguishable from stars. The Air Force chief of operations said that..“for the past six months the Belgian skies have experienced extraordinary phenomena.” The Belgian Minister of Defence said in Parliament…“the government did not know what they were.”
Most other governments have squashed reports, intimidated witnesses or pilloried them as imbeciles. Anyone who has studied the matter knows that more is going on than we are being told. Maybe tiny Belgium is different. It’s the first European country for example that has suggested officially that President Bush and several of his Cabinet should be tried as war criminals for the Iraq adventure.
Here of course we have the usual ‘call them cranks’ method of dealing with things the government doesn’t want known or noticed. But the recent Arizona sightings reported by dozens of people sound the same as those of the Brussels folk. Check Phoenix Lights in Wilkepedia for the report., and www.thephoenixlights.net for eye witness stuff and photographs. One observer used a telescope with a magnification of 43X and saw the triangular vehicle better than most.
My point is not that Tolle is important for everyone, or that UFO’s are important for everyone. My point is that people have finally realized that government spokesmen and people in uniform will lie to them. It is becoming clearer to those who matter that their own experience is paramount, not what some spin doctor on TV says. It is becoming more and more clear as our mundane situations become more desperate every week, that there is something more out there than the life of a consumer of products. It, whatever it is, is beyond religion and its dogmas, and beyond the reports of the normal five senses.
Illinois folks may be interested in the UFO conference being held in Tinley Park tomorrow. Since the recent sightings over Tinley and the opening of several metaphysical centres in the area, the town seems to be becoming a centre of expression for the unusual. And that is the way to the spiritual for those who need a jolt before they realize that all they see on TV is not all there is, and that US authorities will never tell a truth that doesn’t profit them Check at http://www.illinoismufon.com/.
Happy Trails, and look upward and inward sometimes, and if you see something hang onto your experience. Don’t let some ‘authority’ persuade you it didn’t happen. DVB.
