This is #4 of a series. You won’t make much of this one unless you read the others first, and you are in fact likely to misunderstand it completely.

Some of you are still a bit body stuck, and some of you have family ties that are to put it mildly, constricting. I have endured and experienced both of these. Here is how I loosened up the constrictions that applied to me. One or more of these methods may help you too.

Of course if you are currently in a totally loving, non-manipulative environment where nobody is trying to mold you into a family or tradition based pattern, then you may not need any such techniques. But most people marked for spiritual work often have to gain courage and endurance by breaking free of home and relationship ties.

First of all it is necessary to realize the fact of reincarnation. Then you see the truth of your present situation. It’s cause and effect, not guilt and blame. Then you can say any of these words as an affirmation that liberates:

This little group of spiritual truths contains enough to destroy a lot of conditioning, with a little contemplation.

You have had thousands of fathers and mothers. They were all fathers and mothers of the BODY you used for specific lives. It is not their physical relationship that has any importance. In every one you were programmed to believe that your name and your body were you. Your true father and mother is the Consciousness that produced the whole game and that is Spirit, and so are you.

It is often your karmic duty to get OUT of your current human tribe. It is usually their current duty to try to keep you in the tribe by pushing guilt buttons and energizing old programs of control. Your job is to fight your way out.

For Catholics and fundamentalists this is a tremendously difficult matter requiring great courage and an acute discrimination. Whatever the tribe you will learn a great deal about dropping false guilt and remorse by doing this, and you will become stronger and stronger, and maybe even more compassionate when you understand the nature of the ball and chain that others still carry.

The tribe of course will label your efforts with other, non complimentary, button pushing labels. When it is done you will be free to go back into the tribe BUT on your terms, not theirs. Often you will have grown so far away from the never changing ones that you have no need or wish to go back.

During your settling down period, before beginning your sitting meditation with the Name, it often helps to get centered by using expressions that resonate with the spiritual facts of your present situation. You can make up your own with a little practice. Here is a simple series that moves you along a chain of truth, each link becoming more and more subtle until you are right where you can start meditating, using the Name. Try this sort of approach. Use your own terms for God, Goddess, Divinity and
the pairs of deities and energies. This is not a catechism. It is a list of suggestions based on successful outcomes.

This set weakens the effect of those factors that cause nearly all the knee jerk reactions of human life; those things that take us out of the NOW and into the past or future. It's a good cleansing list to use at any time. Now you deal with the Deity or Deities:

and off you scamper on your repetitions. This isn’t dogma. Add or subtract from the series as you please. Leave something out. Put something in. It’s been very helpful to a great many stuck people. Repeating some such chain of reasoning every time increases the acceptance of what you are doing by that left brained part of you that insists on a reasoned approach, even in circumstances when reasoning is obsolete as an effective tool.

Using the word "evoke" makes that magical right brained part of you think it is still in charge in some way or other. Even knowing what is going on, as I have just described it, fools what needs to be, and can be fooled, because the words become triggers that use your previous practices on your behalf instead of against you. Learning how to use negative energies to trigger positive energies is one of the results of this practice.

Even when the words are no longer needed you can use them without harm until eventually you don't need any introduction to the Name. All you need do is relax and listen to the Divine Consciousness repeating its own name to you on the IS road.

Now I can share with you an insight given to none but my rune students up to now. I went on about the dimensions of the world in another posting. The world we actually come FROM is in a dimension at right angles to the three and four dimensional world we inhabit as bodies. How does the rune circle give evidence of this?

I already mentioned that the centre of you is indicated by the centre of the rune circle, which is the centre point of the IS diameter. What is at right angles to the IS diameter? It is the spirit world diameter. Runists will have names to fit on the end points. It’s sufficient for you to realize that it is the spirit world diameter.

A rune student would notice the meanings of that diameter. It means that by a ritual you can reverse the karmic way of looking at life which will result in the realization of your identity with the cosmic spirit instead of the current ego. Repetition of the Name in the manner I have said is such a ritual. Some of high attainment say the Name once instead of three times for each breath cycle.

Experiment will tell you, not argument or commands from others. There is no intermediary between you and your inner Self unless you allow someone to assume that rôle, a priest or a preacher or a teacher for example.

Following this path leads to the final realization of Self as the One, and this results in divine rest, the “peace that passeth all understanding” as a well known great one said, even in the midst of great activity. Life becomes effortless as you live it from the established Witness consciousness, from the spirit level, instead of from the body level.

There is much, much more of course but reading from left to right across the rune circle, and contemplating the resulting bind rune deeply will be a method for those who wish to continue using the runes as an aid to the spiritual work. If you know nothing about runes except IS, you can still pick up the concept.

As a final hint on this matter. When you have achieved the viewpoint that enables you to read the whole runic sentence, where will you be? You will be at right angles to the equal armed cross formed by the two major diameters of the rune circle. You will be above the rune circle and outside the present universe that currently seems to be the whole shooting match.

You will be at the level from which the multi talented Odin stepped back into the three dimensional world as a god when he came down from his ordeal on Yggdrasil, the Sacred Ash. By now you may have some understanding of what that entails.

You will be like a three dimensional being looking down on the two dimensional being who is a prisoner on his piece of paper with a square drawn round him. He cannot get out of the square because to get over the lines he would have to go UP, and there is no UP in the 2D world. You however could reach in and lift him up and out of his prison.

To the other 2D people he would just disappear. It would be a miracle in that world. Continue the analogy to envisage miracles in your own by the interpenetration of dimensions.

That is what the ritual work of the Name is doing for you. It is lifting you out of your prison of accepting the evidence of the five senses as all there is.

Contemplate this and the pictures I have had to use to illustrate the concept. This is your life! That is the map. Do with it whatever you want, but you have earned the right, simply by reading this far, to see something of what is going on.

All of this works because of the fact, long known to spiritually savvy mystics and magicians, but not to the general religious public, that there is a transcendental consciousness higher by far than the human mind. Jesus called it Father. Paul called it Christ. Christian mystics call it Christ Consciousness, Buddhists call it the Buddha Mind, Hindus of various ilks call it: I am That, Brahman, Atman and other names, Moses called it I Am that I Am. Runists represent it by a bind rune and don't bother saying it. They know it as the One behind the High One.

The essential secret is that this Universal Consciousness is also your consciousness. It is within you, as all the mystics have said for centuries and centuries, speaking from first hand experience, not theology. It is the inherent looking outward of the mind, with the consequent creation of duality that makes so many people believe that there is a God out there somewhere. Millions believe in a God or Goddess outside them somewhere, and it is this very insistence on separation from the Divine that keeps them in ignorance. As one spiritual leader used to say, “God dwells in you as you.”

God is being, but not a being. God is being you and being me, in an analogous way to Shakespeare being Othello and Juliet. Othello could not legitimately say, “I am God.” He isn’t, or wasn’t. He was a human. But the Consciousness behind Othello, untainted by the Othello ego is quite a different matter.

The Shaivite, to avoid the Christian bigotry again, the Shaivite would say, "Shiva functions as my being, and Shakti runs my universe." Substitute God the Father for Shiva, and Christ Consciousness for Shakti, to get the approximate mystical version of the Hesychasts. All Father Odin and Urthin are the rune mystic's versions.

You of course choose your own. Adam's first job was naming things. That's how he formed his universe of me and not-me, just as you did. Except that other people told you what names to use, and insisted that you use the same labels as they did.

Remember that in Hebrew what we say as Adam means red clay, that Eve in English comes from the Hebrew for Life. Adam was the vehicle, just as your body is the vehicle. Eve was the spirit.

There are millions of individual human lives, but only one Life. This can be experienced through IS the rune that looks like 1. There are other creation stories in which the Eve equivalent was made first and the Adam is born from the Eve. Which makes more sense spiritually. Remember the pagan bumper sticker, ‘ My goddess gave birth to your god.’

When Odin made the first humans to help him learn the infinite depths of the rune secrets, he made them from living things, accelerated evolution, in this case, two trees, Aska and Embla. Same initials by ‘coincidence.’ The Ash and the Elm.

The original story of Cinderella is a story of the ‘daughter of the Sacred Ash, not the ashes that we call cinders. When she found her inner royalty in the guise of the prince she had attained spiritual integration. This theme is the theme of many of the old ‘fairy stories’ now destroyed by Disney versions.

As soon as you actually experience the Divinity within you, then you know for sure that what is looking out of the eyes of everyone you meet is what is looking out of your own. There is only one Consciousness and many minds, just as there is one Life and many lives. This is why the mystics all agree. They have transcended their minds. They share the same Consciousness and its reports. The impossible vision of Universal Brotherhood is too obvious for them to miss.

Your world as an experiencer of the Divine will be somewhat different from the jungle that people unaware of your knowledge live in. You can see their world by a deliberate effort of refocusing, and empathize with them, but you don't get caught up in the fiction. You are in that world but not of it. You can read any of the alchemical books, or spiritual classics such as Light on the Path and say "Of course. What could be clearer?" You are no longer merely a human being because you do not live through the interpretation of the world that your mind used to feed you with. You are first of all a spiritual being, living a life from a human perspective, as a game.

First of all I'll try to put into words how the infinite being takes on the limited powers of a human being for the game, the sport of it. This is based on the hindsight of many of those who have reversed the process using the kind of techniques and practices that we have dealt with in this series of posts.
It is a walk backwards down the IS path from the greatest heights to the here and now, to see what happened to the Omnipotent, Omnipresent, Omniscient on the way to play the game of being a human. It is like the Divine Being putting on a series of Hallowe’en masks and costumes as a disguise in the Dance of the Game.

This little series is a ladder that you can climb many times and get more out of it every time. It isn't a newspaper article on enlightenment written by a cub reporter.
