Sorry Folks! The Sky IS Falling!

Today is St. Patrick’s Day and it’s the custom of the English to believe only half the lies the Irish tell us on this auspicious day. So here is my offering. “The sky is falling! The sky is falling!.” My mother had the bluest of the blue Irish eyes. And so do I, though they’re hard to see through Coke bottle lenses. Take that into account when you read this.

Maybe it’s the right day to do some serious dot connecting, since right wing radio and TV doesn’t allow any inconvenient truths into their largely fictitious messaging.

Letter to the Bank

This is an actual letter sent to a bank manager by an 86 year old woman. The bank manager was condescending enough to consider it amusing and sent it to the New York Times. The 86 year old lady hits several nails on their heads.

There are many naïve people who really believe that government health services and institutions do actually work for the benefit of the public, as their names would indicate.
