There are some principles that could be applied to all healing modalities like Reiki, Dar’ Shem, Quantum Touch et al, that come under the heading of energy work. Here are a few Douglas thoughts about the matter. I hope they will be of interest, though they only skim the surface of an immensely deep subject.

I have had the great pleasure, as a Reiki Master in two lineages, of helping quite a few dozens of students of magick into the realm of energy healing through the Usui Reiki ladder, from the First Degree through Master Teacher. Many of you who read this blog are involved in metaphysics, magick or healing, or combinations of the three. Those who are just entering the Reiki realm after encountering various magickal modalities may not have realized how their new talent can help their old ways.

Since the Catholic Church has started interfering in the affairs of alternative health people, and is busily micromanaging the private lives of its unfortunate devotees, it seemed a good time to review some previous notes for energy workers, who may be next on the list.

When I mentally checked them over our list of friends and acquaintances included practitioners of Reiki, Dar’ Shem, Quantum Touch, Metamorphosis, Cranio-Sacral, Acupressure, EFT, Runic Healing, Ortho Bionomy, Healing Touch, Body Talk, Hatha, Raja and Jnani yoga, various Buddhist meditation techniques and a few hybrids.
