Today is the birthday of the man who in my mind is at the pinnacle of humanity. This is the day on which thousands of followers of the teachings of the Lord Buddha celebrate his birthday.
The benevolent influence of this astonishing man of peace has spread throughout the world without force of arms or militant missionaries eager to destroy local religions.
