This is the fourth of the ‘written too far ahead of the curve’ articles from 2007. In the current climate the material will not seem so far out as it did then. We’ve had The Matrix and Battlestar Galactica, Inception and now Caprica as popular movies or TV series that expand the ways the general public has of looking at consciousness and how we make our own reality with our minds and think we are sharing the same reality as everyone else. Last time I introduced the idea of checking out the basics of meditation for spiritual seekers who, unlike Sunyata, were not enlightened at birth.

Much of the following material is in the first few pages of one of my books on meditation entitled Meditation: The Bridge from the Apparent to the Real…with the sub title How some methods deceive meditators into delusions of progress, and the ancient method that bypasses all such problems, does no harm, and always works.

It was my original intention to write about Black Magick for this final article of the ‘Magick is the ability to change the state of consciousness at will’ series. I was going to detail the appalling skill of the pharmaceutical companies at persuading Americans to take their obscenely expensive drugs for invented diseases like ‘depression’ using neuro linguistic programming of the public mind, and subtly changing the definition of the disease every year, until just about anyone could come under the diagnosis, and become a life long cash cow battling side effects for ever.
