We are in our eighth year of conflict in Afghanistan now in October 2009 and almost nobody I talk to remembers much about how it started, or why we would still be there spending billions of dollars on our credit card with China. Just as a little memory jog here is the little article I wrote for the Tid-Bits metaphysical newsletter in April 2002, just after dealing with my taxes. People who don’t or won’t know history just keep making the same mistakes. Remember that nobody has ever conquered Afghanistan. Alexander the Great couldn’t do it.

As the mad Bush in the china shop is trashing everything in sight to give Obama more and more problems to deal with, we are currently being treated to a plethora of ‘discoveries’ of the crooked, unethical and anti-social machinations of the exiting administration by people who are doing today what they were too timid to do six years ago. Then they might have helped by reporting these matters to the public, but they were all too scared of the viciousness of the administration.
