It’s very hard nowadays to keep up with the lies and half truths poured into the gullible public ears by government officials with an agenda and by commercial interests. Neither has any regard whatever for the truth of their statements, only for the effect they cause by constant repetition.

On June 27th 2008 the Supreme Court upheld the Second Amendment right to bear arms for self defense, and struck down the thirty year old Washington DC handgun ban. This of course has raised screams of anguish from people who haven’t actually read the Bill of Rights and who can make cheap political points by ‘tough on crime’ speeches.
